
Benny Xian- Founder & CEO
Benny brings leadership and technology experience to voyadi, which is part of Banian Labs. He is responsible for the strategy, vision, and growth of Banian. Previously, he has played many key roles from product engineering (Actel), product (Transmeta IPO: TMTA), to operations (Midori Linux by Linus Torvolds), to cofounding and investing (BeyondCore – acquired by SalesForce, and few others). After many years with technology companies from hardware, software, to data analytics, he recognizes technology by itself isn’t enough. It is what inspired him to design thinking and the need to focus on experience. He graduated from Stanford University with a MS in electrical engineering and a BSEE from University of Florida. He enjoys contributing to the local community including mentoring (Stanford StartX, GEM, Singapore NUSEA) and advising technology startups (Lawgives, Mindsumo).

Betty Ban- Head of Experiences
Betty is responsible for leading the ambassador program, content curation, and creative community management. She works with creatives and influencers in search of unique experiences around the world. Previously, she was a cofounder of TrulyShare in charge of products and marketing strategy. Betty is a graduate of Draper University, one of the top universities known for unconventional entrepreneurial training. In consistent with Draper University’s values, Betty is actively driving, building, and pursuing progress and change in everything she does. She is fluent in Mandarin. She advocates women in leadership and technology.

Eric Sung-Creative Director
Eric is a self-taught designer/developer hybrid with background in gaming, music, and filmmaking. Previously, he founded Serif Graphics (a graphic design company), created 3rd Law (a premium men’s fashion label), and worked at Universal Music Group Distribution doing artist development. Eric studied Biochemistry at University of California (Davis), Biology and Psychology at University of California (Irvine), and Gamification at University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School.

John Maeda- Founding Advisor
John has been a source of inspiration and a force behind Banian Labs ever since the early days. He brings a wealth of experience in leadership, design, and technology. He is an internationally recognized thought leader at the intersection of design and technology. Esquire named Maeda as one of the 75 most influential people of the 21st century. He is currently a Design Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Previously, he led a research team at the MIT Media Lab before serving as the 16th President of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Maeda received his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Janet Yang- Producer and Cultural Ambassador
Throughout her life, Janet Yang has distinguished herself by serving as both a producer, and a cultural ambassador, in bringing the creative and business worlds together, as well as bridging East and West.
Yang has worked with some of the most formidable directors and actors in the world. She was partnered for many years with multiple Academy Award winning writer/director Oliver Stone. Her numerous award-winning film and TV credits include The Joy Luck Club; Dark Matter with Meryl Streep, The Weight of Water, with Sean Penn and directed by Academy-Award winning director Kathryn Bigelow; High Crimes with Morgan Freeman; Indictment: The McMartin Trial, which won both Golden Globe and Emmy Awards for "Best Made for Television Movie"; and The People vs. Larry Flynt, directed by multiple Academy Award winning director Milos Forman, and which won Golden Globe Awards for Best Director and Best Actor.
Ms. Yang has been named one of the "50 Most Powerful Women in Hollywood" by the Hollywood Reporter. She holds a B.A. from Brown University in Chinese studies and an M.B.A. from Columbia University. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and the Committee of 100.

Harald Kroeger- Investor
Harald Kroeger is the President of Automative Electronics at Bosch. Previously, Harald has served in various positions at Daimler AG ("Daimler") and formerly board member at Tesla. Most recently, Mr. Kroger served as Daimler's Vice President of Electrics, Electronics and e-Drive and previously as Daimler's Vice President Quality Management Mercedes-Benz and Vice President Purchasing Electrics/Electronics. Mr. Kroeger holds a B.Sc. degree in economics and a M.Sc. degree in electrics and electronics from the University of Hannover and a M.S. degree in control engineering from Stanford University.

George Koo- Strategic Advisor
Dr. Koo is a prolific world traveler, writer, and speaker. He is the key influencer behind our Experience Book. Dr. Koo is a member of Committee of 100 and Pacific Council for International Policy. Dr. Koo is a frequent speaker in various public forums on China and U.S. China bilateral relations. He writes for Pacific News Service (New America Media) on issues relating to Chinese Americans and to U.S.-China relations. He is a former member of the board of directors of Las Vegas Sands and a current director of New America Media. He is founder and former managing director of International Strategic Alliances.
